As part of our conversation, we\u2019ll see the translation offered by Neil Douglas-Klotz in his book <em>Revelations of the Aramaic Jesus. <\/em>Words like \u201cripening,\u201d \u201cdissolving,\u201d \u201cextra unhealthy holdings,\u201d going beyond who we thought we were, \u201cdarkness\u201d as meaning \u201cwhat\u2019s unknown,\u201d and more\u2014will help us as we consider\u2014with new eyes and ears\u2014a text that may now seem too familiar to us. We\u2019ll consider a progression of steps rather than a set of formulas.
