During our Spring Series, except for the program on May 6, we will again focus on “Books that Nourish the Spirit” – with a twist). Writing a work can be transformative for readers and writers.We are pleased to have members and attenders of Meeting share about the impact that writing a particular work has had on them. The programs are on Saturday mornings via Zoom and begin at 9:30 am.


On March 25, at 9:30 am, Leslie Shiel will discuss “Sisters of the Visitation” — How One Poem Made its Way into the World. “Sisters of the Visitation,” her most recently published poem, speaks of fear and safety, silence and noise, friendships, surrender, and disruptions in one’s life. Following her comments, we will reflect on queries derived from the presentation. Monica Shaw will facilitate.

On May 6 (exact times TBA), we will gather for a mini retreat. Janet Legro will explore “Let Your Lives Speak: Process Theology and Quaker Testimonies.” She recommends the Pendle Hill Pamphlet Reclaiming the Transcendence by Thomas Gates to enrich the conversation.
