Parking, Building Accessibility and Hearing Assistance

Parking

Our Meeting is in a residential community and we have no parking lot. Everyone should park on Commonwealth Avenue or Woodlawn Avenue (the north-south street one block to the east). Do not park on east-west streets (Kensington Ave., Leonard Parkway and Stuart Ave.) in front of neighbors’ homes — see/click on map below.

There are several accessible parking spaces on Kensington Avenue in front of the Meetinghouse for use during meeting activities. (Sidewalk access is on the corner of Kensington and Commonwealth.)

We urge all to be mindful of our neighbors. Please limit outside noise by speaking softly and closing vehicle doors gently, especially after evening events (which should always end before 9:00 PM).

Thank you!

Building Accessibility

We strive to make our facilities accessible to all.

There is a ramp from the Kensington Avenue that provides access to our main Worship Room. An elevator at the side of the worship room foyer provides access to the two floors of our education building. The Community Room, kitchen and rest rooms are located on the lower level; religious education and small meeting rooms are on the upper lever — all areas here are accessible.

Accessible parking information is provided in the Parking section above.

Hearing Assistance

Our worship room is equipped with a hearing assistance system; overhead microphones are connected to small receivers that can be borrowed in the front entry foyer. The system picks up vocal messages and sends amplified audio signals to individual listeners using multiple methods: FM receivers, mobile phones with WIFI and hearing aids with T-coil. Friends are available to provide additional information regarding our hearing system.

If you have any specific questions about our building accessibility, please contact us.
